Selecionado para o 33º Festival Africano de Cinema de Nova York, o filme será exibido no Maysles Documentary Center, em New York City — um espaço dedicado à formação, pesquisa e difusão do audiovisual, guiado pelo compromisso de escutar e honrar experiências vividas.

Seguimos atravessando territórios com uma narrativa construída a partir da memória, da ancestralidade e da força dos terreiros. Esse movimento reafirma o gesto do próprio filme: escutar, honrar trajetórias e afirmar o cinema como lugar de encontro entre território, espiritualidade e resistência.

The world has opened a path for our story.

Selected for the 33º New York African Film Festival, the film will be screened at the Maysles Documentary Center in New York City — a space dedicated to education, research, and the circulation of audiovisual works, guided by a commitment to listening to and honoring lived experiences.

We continue crossing territories with a narrative shaped by memory, ancestry, and the strength of the terreiros. This movement reaffirms the film’s own gesture: to listen, to honor lived paths, and to affirm cinema as a space of encounter between territory, spirituality, and resistance.
